29/6/20 This morning three of us returned to the Glen and spent some time potting plants in the greenhouse and weeding the flower bed at the side of the main greenhouse. It was good to get back into the greenhouse and take stock of what is left of the plants after lock down. We have lost almost all of the seedlings which were thriving before lock down but some of the perennials have survived.
The bad news is that a couple of weeks ago there was a break in at the greenhouses. There was no damage done but the thieves stole all of the compost. We lost 4 unopened bags of compost which were stored in our greenhouse and the Council lost 14 bags from one of their greenhouses.
Hopefully, as the summer progresses we can get back to some semblance of normality and volunteers can once again get into the gardens.
