Vandalism at Nethertown Play Area

11/1/21
Some time at the start of the New Year, damage was done to the Play Park at the Nethertown entrance to the Glen. As can be seen from the photograph someone decided to light a fire beside the climbing frame! From the damage done it is clear that this was no accidental fire but was a deliberate attempt to cause damage. Fortunately, the climbing frame itself did not catch fire but the damage to the special play area surface will cost over £2,000 to repair.
This play park was a joint venture between the Friends and Fife Council and for the last few years has provided an enjoyable play area for families visiting that part of the Glen. A message to the fire raisers. If you are cold while visiting the Glen, just go home and leave our beautiful park to be enjoyed by everyone.
